Best of 2012

Happy 2013!

This is 2012 in review with my most popular blog posts from 2012.

Out of the 111 posts I wrote in 2012, these were the most popular...
We took the girls on a short daytime trip in a dog sled, and they LOVED it!

We booked a night dog sledding adventure for Nanny and Papa while they visited us for the first time in Yellowknife in March.

The auroras were out in full force, giving us quite a show.

Nanny and Papa also experienced a fairly cold arctic night outdoors.

A super short post highlighting one memorable afternoon when the girls trashed my classroom in the joy of crafting some a beautiful turkey and butterfly for me.

Simple everyday fun.

It was January.

It was -45 with the wind chill.

The cold invaded the house.

Eli built me a DVD shelf.

(The cold invaded the house a LOT earlier, this year.)

My post written just before my Uncle Stafford had brain surgery to remove a tumour.

4. Preschool Carnival
The elaborate farewell event hosted by Miss A's wonderful preschool teachers, and enjoyed by Miss G's kindergarten class, too.

3. Staff is Sniffin'
Uncle Stafford's brain surgery was successful!

His vision is not completely restored, but his luck is!

2. Piloting Through Yellowknife
Nanny and Papa visited Pilot's Monument in Old Town, and the Buffalo Hangar, home to the Ice Pilots.

Papa loved seeing Buffalo Joe's antique cars, too!

1. Sliding (and my 100th Post)
Mysteriously and suspiciously, this post has more than 1000 hits, which is about 10 times the number for even a post on THIS Top Ten List.

It must pop up in search engines a lot for some reason.

It was a pretty awesome day!

Honourable Mentions:

Of all time:
Yum!  No wonder this is the top post ever!

Because she's worth it!
